It was weird seeing people push back hard on the saying boys will be boys because my mom had 4 boys and for me that phrase wasn’t used so much to excuse the bad but rather to explain the strange. like where’d this frog come from? Or why is there a tonka truck in the bathtub?

When I was 15 I played 3 sports and grew 6 inches in a year. An entire rotisserie chicken could’ve been a snack between actual meals.

I don’t see the issue with eating an entire rotisserie chicken.
Especially not as a (presumably growing and therefore hungry) teenager.
I *certainly* could demolish a medium chicken solo at that age (and later on when I was training on a course with active physical labour I could eat about half of one as lunch with a half baguette, one on the way from the course, and another one for dinner, with a side salad and a plate of chips.
I could probably eat a whole one now if I felt like it, but I don’t feel the *need* to do so, unlike some of my teenage years or whilst on that course.
$4.99 Costco chicken would make a nice lunch and wouldn’t cost that much more than a hot dog.

“Boys will be boys” really ought to refer to some of the shit I did with my friends in high school. Someone found a ball, and we saw just how long we could throw it to each other and not drop it.
A little silly mischief here and there isn’t bad. But excusing shitty behavior isn’t what “boys will be boys” should ever mean.

Back in the 1900’s my group and myself would order a pizza. Each guy had his own pizza , not a slice, a whole 20″ pizza. Funny when 8 guys order 8 pizzas.
