Weird. I see everything very clear with my state of the art LED headlights with 200,000 lumens bought at Temu….
Sometimes i even flash my lights shortly fully convinced their driving with high beam active.. until they really put their high beam on as well.. and then i’m like ok nevermind
I hate that. I drive a MX-5 and my eyes have the exact fucking height as the other car lights. (Sry for bad english)
And then you have those who do not understand ‘PARKING LIGHTS’ and insist on burning my retinas when they are parked.
Yeah. It’s getting pretty ridiculous. Sometimes I just gotta slow down a lot because I’m scared I’m gonna hit a deer or something that I can’t fuckin see.
Almost ran into a ditch bc some jerk decided that they wanted to keep their brights on while driving as slow as possible lmao. These newer cars’ headlights are insane man.
In Norway they’ve seen that especially Teslas has lights that needs to be adjusted as they’re often the ones who blinds the most on the road. There’s so many forum posts about it

Question, if I have a 90s vehicle with stock incandescent bulbs, is it okay if I now use my high beams on highways?

just curious, shouldn’t it be illegal?
I drive a late 90s car and it’s getting to the point that upgrading my headlights to support LED lights are a much now when it rains but these companies need to invest in those lights that detect oncoming traffic and make it where it dosnt blind the other driver especially those fucking lifted trucks

My trick is to look at the road line on my passenger side until the offending beams have passed.
The problem isn’t the LED headlights themselves but the fact that people don’t have them aimed correctly.

There’s this guy who I pass on my way to work and he always has his damn brights on. Like bro, the street is already lit.
I flashed my brights at one the other night. Was local PD, flashed me back. I hung a left 😬
The problem is people who replace their bulbs and do not readjust them
New trucks are the worst. Not only are they bright as fuck but their stupid raised suspension shines the light right in my rearview mirror
If I want to make a right turn and there’s one of these cars behind me, it’s a game of chance if there are any cyclists. I have no fucking chance of seeing them. Those cars have light pointing in every direction so I’m getting blinded in all mirrors.
Im considering getting out of the car and walk to the side of their car so I can see if any cyclists are there before I make a turn. Partly to annoy people with those shitty lights.
Also it seems like people now let the car handle switching high beam light on/off. Previously people could see another car approaching over a hill or a curve and disabled high beam before blinding. Now cars have to use a bit of time to register ongoing traffic before turning high beam off, blinding you every time. I’ve started keeping high beam on until the other car turns it off. Who knows – it might even help their car registering me a bit earlier.
I’ve actually stopped at the side of the road a few times to get one of these idiots to get in front of me.
What about the raised trucks that stay right behind you? All I see when I try to use my mirrors is a bunch of spot lights burning my eyes.
I’ve probably logged more than 150 nighttime miles without my headlights on. I can’t tell anymore.

So many cars now also have the automatic high beam setting as default. If the car doesn’t see headlights ahead, it turns the high beams on. It doesn’t care if you’re in a neighborhood and flashing your highs into everyone’s bedroom while they’re trying to sleep.
I’ve got top of the line leds and projector housings, and some of these stock lights still outshine mine.
