Great, now I have to:
1. Pause my movie
2. Lay the chips aside
3. Put my drink down
4. Get the blanket off
5. Get up
6. All that just to close the fucking door
7. Do the opposite of steps 1.-5.
I feel so uncomfortable when the door to my room is open
Now I either risk a demon coming into my room, or I’ve gotta throw away my perfect sleeping position
Ok, but seriously, why?! Why is this such a common experience. My parents did it, it seems like everyone’s parents/siblings did it. I don’t understand. Is it some kind of power trip? Like, “tee hee, I inconvenienced my kid?” Are they all trying to say that they want the door left open? Is it a trust thing? I genuinely want to understand the psychology of this.
First thing : Take a very deep breath….HMMMM!!!!
Or they shut it 95% of the way, and deliberately for some unknown reason, leave it slightly cracked open. This wasn’t a parent when i was young, this was an adult room mate 😐
and turn off the damn light when you leave the room.
What’s worse is when they close it but let go right before it clicks shut. So you look and the doors shut, but then a few seconds later it’s open again.

Desire to be lazy at war with desire to have the door shut. I felt this meme in my bones.
I have the same problem with people not locking my door. It needs to always be locked.
Too real, siblings do this just to piss you off.
Exactly what it felt like living with parents who had no respect for personal and private space of their children.

People who want their door shut all the time are weird. Get mad about it, I’m right.
