Job market trash, everything is getting more increasingly expensive, yet no one wants to pay livable wages. it feels like 90% of the people just wanna watch the world burn.

A word to the wise. Spending time online takes a surprising amount of mental energy, overtime it also make your social skills atrophy and lowers the capacity of your social battery. And itโs a very poor return on investment.ย
If you wanted to run a marathon but found that running was hard, you would probably realize that you have to run more, a lot more to get better at running. And with enough repetitions, you would find that running is no longer hard and maybe you enjoy it and miss it when you canโt run. The same goes for socializing and pursuing hobbies and creativity. Itโs hard at first, especially if you are working full time. But the more you flex those muscles and the more you repeat those hobbies, the easier it will get. And I donโt just mean that if you paint you will get better at painting. I mean the more you pursue things that interest you, the easier it will be to pursue anything that interests you. The more you make time for friends the easier it will be to make and retain friends.ย
The goal of your 20s is to try to overcome the challenges of life and work and health and obligations, and to carve out some semblance of fulfillment. You donโt need get it right the first time, you just have to try over and over again. Because that skill of trying to lead a fulfilling life is an important life lesson.
You have to resist the urge to compress and fold under the weight of existence. Fight the urge to stay in every night. Fight the urge to cancel plans and ghost your friends. Fight the urge to doom scroll. Fight the urge to let your social and creative muscles weaken. Itโs harder than ever, but itโs worth it

Commuting 2.5 hours each way 5 days a week to work remotely from an office because forced RTO.
