My mates was also in this situation and instead told her daughter the spider was good luck if you take it outside.

She overcame her fear.

No loose ends and needing proof is soo real

My wife freaks out to me and then I just get a paper towel and calmly let little spider bros outside

The kids – “Fugheddaboudit. I’ll take care of it personally.”

“Hey man you seem to be just minding your own business. My wife was talking some shit about you earlier though so I’d probably bounce if I were you. Here, hop in this cup and I’ll give you a lift to a nice bush outside.”

Sounds counterproductive. How are your kids gonna learn to not be afraid of spiders if you kill every spider in the house.

Being a critter guy from a young age, I’ve absolutely had to go remove scary bugs, snakes and other critters from friend’s and neighbor’s yards.

Actually, I love doing it, but it’s hilarious what some people freak out about. I had to save a fucking tree frog because some coworkers were freaking and I was afraid they’d accidentally hurt it.

Neither me nor my wife are afraid of bugs but for some reason our 3yo is terrified. Not sure if he picked it up from a TV show or something or if it’s instinctual.

The spider said pull up ..

I need to do this with my wife when our son grows up.

Not very concerned about instilling fear of herself, though.

I hope the proof is a nice pic of the spiders new web made comfortably in the garden right outside the house.

🤣

“Our friend over there, with the legs… you take care of that?”

“Charlotte has been separated from her web.”

Wait, that’s actually really cute.

I’ve never understood the problem with spiders, I keep a spiderweb in my room to deal with the other insects

That’s a solid approach to be fair

Those fears are genetic.
