Even the backups have cold storage backups. You need physical access to get those because they aren’t connected to any network. If an asteroid landed on their datacenters, they’d still send you a bill on time.
Also the debt is stored with multiple organizations. The original lender, collection agencies, and all 3 credit bureaus. You’d have to hit their prod, backups, and cold storage simultaneously. Even an advanced nation state adversary couldn’t pull that off.

Ir is impossible. You have backups of those things. And you have backups of the backups that are offline. Simple as that.
You can’t do it only from a computer. You need to do this simultaneously on all backups online and offline. Quite impossible for a civilian group to do that.
Big companies keep multiple backups, including one set inside a bunker like Iron Mountain.

But if you delete the loans data from bank, banks won’t know whom to get loan from, since bank only keeps small percentage of the money deposited in them and loans the other out to people. The people who deposited the money are losing it no?
