What I hate even more is ads on shady sites redirecting you automatically to the Store. Like. Can’t my phone protect me from anything?

Or worse, you have the app and when you click “open in app” it takes you to the app’s homepage instead of the content you’re trying to see

Only thing worse is “Open in App”, only for the app to literally be a link to their website that has to be opened in your phone browser (looking at you Xfinity/Comcast)

What’s even worse is when the x button to get out of the ad doesn’t work and it sends you to the Play store anyway for an app I’m not going to buy

13th reason for what? What does that mean?

Temu gets me every time

To the app store, but u have the damn app on your phone.

The trick is delete and reinstall the app and the thing fixes itself

The internet would be such a boon to the economy if we could keep private company hands off it.

For all the Android users out there, most devices will have “Opening links” in the “Default apps” section somewhere in the settings. After opening, just go to the desired app, and select all the associated links. Should be fine after that.

This happens with Reddit for me more than anything else

Or when you click “stay in web” and it still redirects you to the app store so you can update the app you didn’t want to open in the first place.

Open in app

Clicks link

Well that was a fuckin lie.

My phone, after every update now, says I can improve performance by installing temu, Amazon and candy crush among others. Like ???? None of those will help my productivity as a person nor will adding more apps to the phone make it run faster

This bugs me too. Do any app developers know why this happens?

I seriously thought I was the only one with this problem 😩

Can’t wait to see this post reposted to all of the “explain the joke” subs
