Don’t mess with old people. They are retired, so they have all day to waste your time.

love the fact that she withdrew $1000 even though she couldve done $100. she wanted you to suffer and tell you she has money too

It just shows how stupid the system is that we so ignorantly embrace

Are there really banks that don’t have counting machines for the tellers to use?

This meme is so old her grandkids are managers at that bank

Legend

Ugh! I guess it’s ok he was still on the clock and got paid for it.

It’s a bit like calling to cancel an appointment and being told ‘no free cancellations within 48 hours’ policy but letting you change the appointment time up until the actual appointment. Ok, can I change it to next week? It’s changed? Ok, cool, can you cancel it now? Thanks.

This didnt happen

So why are we cheering for the old lady who refuses to use an ATM?

That lady know exactly what she was doing and did this on purpose to ruin the guy day for telling her to go to the ATM

Money counter. Doesn’t take more than 3-5 mins

I once went to the Apple store to buy a couple new iPhones. My wife and I had been saving up Visa gift cards we had gotten from people over a few years to cut costs on getting the new phones.

The Apple sales person says “Sorry, we only accept Apple gift cards, our machine will decline these Visa cards. But there’s a Target next door where you can buy Apple GC with these.”

I’m like okay whatever I’ll do that. So I got to Target to make the swap. As it turns out they just happened to be out of all denominations of Apple Gift cards except the $5 ones. So I bought $1,200 worth of Apple gift cards in $5 increments. Which was 240 gift cards. I felt bad for the Target clerk having to ring out and activate them all but I explained the situation to her and she said “that’s crap that they don’t accept Visas, and I’m happy to ring all these out for you.”

So she does, and I head back to the Apple store with my 240 GC. Hand them to the sales guy and he looked like he wanted to die. I was like “sorry dude, this is all they had.”

Not only did he have to scan each of them one by one, he also had to scratch off stuff that hides the pin codes.

About an hour and a half later we had our new phones.

GOT EEEM

Years ago, my friend and I had to transfer $900 from his account to mine for something, but account-to-account transfers even at the same branch took multiple business days.

So, my friend did a withdraw of $900 of cash from the teller. He handed me the money, and I then said “I’d like to deposit $900”. The teller was…not enthused. But we got the same-day transfer we needed.

Went to the bank one day and tried to withdraw $400, but the ATM ran into an error and said try again later.

So I walked into the bank, told them the ATM was broken, and asked to withdraw $400.

They said try the ATM again. It’ll work now.

I said, “Why? I already waited in line. I’m standing right here. Just give me $400.”

It turned into a whole thing.

Finally, we were at an impasse, and they made me try the ATM again. It still didn’t work.

So they withdrew the $400 for me.

I go home and check my balance, it was down by $1200. The ATM had successfully deducted the transaction both times, but never dispensed the cash.

I went back furious.

Got my money back, but they are no longer my bank.

I don’t understand why tellers won’t just do what their customers ask, even if there’s another way to do it. Just give me my money. Now they have none of it.

This image macro is old, it can almost vote.

Not only that, but why wouldn’t the old left just withdraw $100 in 10’s and deposit 90, since it clearly says “for withdraws LESS than $100 you have to use the ATM”?

Lastly, like most things on the internet, it never happened.

Lol

You should crosspost this to r/maliciouscompliance

I have legit done similar stuff.

I returned an LED light bulb to Home Depot that was under warranty. Since it had been sold as part of a three-pack they wanted all three light bulbs to be returned to replace the item.

…So I bought a new three-pack of the same bulbs, pocketed one of the good bulbs in front of the guy, replaced it with the dead one, and returned the new three-pack I just bought.

FFS why couldn’t they do that for me?

Because bank has stupid rules she punished teller. Hm. Okay.

Horse cock.

Fake Boomer fantasy story that’s been reposted to Facebook since 2010

Why do people have such a hard time with “withdraw vs withdrawal?”

Pro level move right there.

Is it really that annoying to count 1000 in 10s. Oh no, you have to count to 10, 10 times

Malicious compliance!

Anti-bureaucratic genius

Good.

In the age of paper checks someone opened my grandmothers mail box and stole all the paper checks she was mailing out on bill day. Luckily they were dumb enough to leave the opened envelopes right there.

So grandma went to the bank to report it. They told her it would cost $20 or so per check to cancel a half dozen checks. She said it sounded cheaper to with drawl all their money and the manager figured out how to waive the fees.

Good for her.

Outstanding, just outstanding.

Some people will get this “ you want me to hold the chicken salad ?”

Love this.

Good. What a stupid policy.

She probably doesn’t have an atm card.

seen this a million times by now.
