Then you watch it all and you’re miserable again.

And then you find out it got cancelled

And then that series starts going downhill after episode 6.

a really good book hits even harder

I’ve found this with several video games: Witcher III, Red Dead Redemption II, Fallout 4..

Dexter

Ridin thru this world…

Cyberpunk Edgerunners. It’s only 10 episodes a 25 minutes. Perfect to bingewatch.

Same goes for the game.

Me when I buy a new video game, I just disappear off the planet for a few days then before you know it I have 200 hours logged over a single weekend… somehow.

This is called depression

This was the early seasons of TWD for me.

I didn’t watch any TV for years and then Game of Thrones happened

Yes. And then your life starts falling apart because you can’t properly focus on anything else

Escapism in la la land of entertainment bliss.

And then you finish the series and discover all the free time you have left to do nothing… painful.

DanDaDan for sure

Just started Six Feet Under a few days ago. I’m on season two, please don’t tell me it gets bad any time soon.

Arcane did that for me recently. Cant believe I didn’t watch it when it came out.

That feeling when you’re so hooked on a series that nothing else matters, no stress, no worries, just you and the next episode. Pure bliss… until it ends, and you’re left staring at the wall, wondering what to do with your life.

The series for me was the big lez show

That’s me but with this next quarter mile….

YES

And then you take the personality and for the next few days take all your decisions based on that

This is what anime did for me during a rough patch. So many good shows back to back.

Me binging the 2 seasons of Arcane in 2 days lol

One more episode?

For me that was the Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul series. I was between jobs riding savings, skipping meals, generally freaking out, but at the end of the day I was in Albuquerque sipping a beer by the pool, wondering what to do with all of this cash

Ouch owie

the newsroom ✌🏽

This was HBOs Chernobyl for me 2 months ago. Stayed up so late watching it i had to take a half day at work the following day

Titans 🙂

You, the series and your phone while you doom scroll and it’s on in the background.

So many times I’ve had someone say “I binge watched 3 seasons of that show in a weekend” only to not know a single thing about it

Me and Riverdale right now. It’s self aware trash and I love it.

Problem is there aren’t that many series that do that.

dr stone

I’m in the honeymoon phase with Foundation. We’re taking it slow but I think it might be the one!

Me with the WoT series.

Also Torth.

Wait, is this not books?

But it’s a modern streaming series so it only has a handful episodes, you’re done with it in an afternoon and it was cancelled after 1 season on a cliffhanger

Ah see, when a TV nerd gets obsessed with a single piece of media for a long time it’s “relatable” and “relaxing”, but when I, a gamer,

I remember I got shouted at for not coming down to open gifts on Christmas morning because I got completely engrossed in the final few episodes of Breaking Bad that I forgot it was Christmas morning

I feel this way about a book I’m reading

I love a good getaway.

I wonder if this example could be used with addicts and their addictions.

Random mention but audiobook Dungeon Crawler Carl. One of the best forms of writing and performance going right now. It’s at book 7 and still hasn’t slowed down or lost any of its bite. So so so damn good.

Panem et circenses.

Still working fine, it seems.

This is how I’ve been with Slay The Princess lately

Breaking bad and the knick only two to inspire that in me
