Go to your local library! My small town library has a weirdly huge collection of DVDs and an impressive blu ray collection. I can have 30 out at one time. For free!
I personally find HBO/Max has the best selection of good movies. Primes movie selection is roach taint.
I rarely bother with streaming services anymore unless there’s something exclusive to one that I want to watch. Skip the expensive middle man and get it directly, DVDs FTW.
VPN and Torrent – Free movies/TV and no ads either.
I just steal all the content I want.

The final straw for me was you can’t even stream Sonic 1 and 2 from the same service (in Australia). Like what.

Tried to watch Yellowstone after subscribing to Paramount plus (to watch Yellowstone) and surprise! 3 bucks an episode. But you can watch the shitty prequels for free!

I’m going to be going back to dvds and blue rays. Especially at thrift stores and garage sales.
Too bad we have to resort to piracyt instead of just staging a unified boycott. If the majority of people cancelled their accounts for a bit, all these streaming services would drop their rates.
I just use Pluto and Tubi, I own most of the stuff I want to watch now.
At least none of the good ones! I am amazed as I flip through all the movies on Amazon Prime at the sheer number of movies I never even heard of, much less watched.
It wouldnt be as bad if they didnt show the same damn commercial over and over. It feels like psychological warfare tbh

I canceled skyshowtime because they have UNSKIPPABLE ads for other content on their service and it plays between each movie on the Premium ad-free tier.
If Prime starts doing the same, I’m canceling that too.
