Mohamed Bzeek, an Arab-American from California, is a foster parent who takes in only terminally ill children. He has fostered 80 children over 20 years, a practice he has continued even after his wife passed away in 2015.
That man has more strength of will than I can even understand, never mind emulate.
Calling him a hero would be an understatement.

The deepest respect
My heart couldn’t take caring for terminally ill children.
I would end up curling up with them bed crying till I am so dehydrated that I don’t have tears anymore.
This man has done more good than any CEO I know.

This is such an extraordinary act of kindness
I have no idea how someone could do this, and not feel emotionally wrecked, repeatedly

Out of curiosity… Where does he find these children? Why do they not have a home? I mean obviously there’s a lot of children who don’t have families but… Are these just the ones that are truly unlucky that get abandoned and fucking are terminal?

Fuck….. the strength of that man feelings are out of the charts. 20 years of seeing little souls vanished is something incomprehensible for me. That man deserves a palace in heavens

This is pure gold. I’ve seen people loose their kids (been working with sick kids for 10 years) and it is absolutely gut wrenching. I am so impressed and so grateful that people like this man exists, but I can’t imagine going through that absolute heartbreak over and over again. That’s just pure willpower. It’s incredible

Damn. The fact that there are terminally ill children out there is tragic enough but I feel stupid for not even considering that terminally ill orphan children exist.
The fact that some kids out there are literally slowly dying and they don’t even at least have parents to show them tender love and care, hold them when they’re in pain, and give them a safe place to call home during the process is gut wrenching.

What a kind and strong soul. As much as I’d love to do the same I have not the strength, after the first kid I would never be the same again.

Endless respect and admiration for him.
My mind is spinning about why such children should need fostering in the first place though. I can’t imagine the sadness at play there.

I remember when his story first emerged, and people bullied him, made inappropriate jokes, and even reported him out of fear that he was “molesting children” simply because he’s Muslim. It’s truly sad how we mistreat those who spread kindness.

Some people are here to show us a better way to be. This takes a kind of strength I can’t even begin to imagine and I’m so deeply grateful Mohamed Bzeek has dedicated himself to caring for some of the most vulnerable members of our society. This is what angels do.

Hard to imagine the adopted child in his arms is one day not going to be there, but has experienced love, warmth and happiness.
Mohamed Bzeek is a man many of us should look up to, and hope the world becomes as compassionate as him.
