That is jaw dropping

Ah, yes, Gimmelwald, Grindelwald’s younger brother who led Hufflepuff to the 394th Quidditch Cup.

We stayed at Hotel Mittaghorn in1991 and Walter made us soup! Such a magical place.

Impressive but this picture still doesn’t do it justice.  I think it’s just too hard to capture depth in photos

Title: "A Breathtaking View: Exploring the Moody Scenery from the Top of Schilthorn in Gimmelwald, Switzerland"

Introduction:

Nestled in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland, Gimmelwald is a picturesque village that offers a unique blend of tranquility and adventure. One of its most striking features is the majestic Schilthorn mountain, which stands tall at 2,190 meters (7,185 feet) above sea level. The slope of Schilthorn offers a panoramic view that is simply breathtaking, and on a clear day, the scenery from the top is nothing short of moody and awe-inspiring.

The Hike to the Top:

To reach the summit, hikers can take a cable car from the village of Gimmelwald to the mountain station, followed by a short and moderately challenging hike through the rugged terrain. The trail winds its way through verdant meadows, dense forests, and rocky outcroppings, gradually ascending to the top. The journey is reward enough, with scenic vistas unfolding around every bend.

The View from the Top:

As the hike concludes, the visitor is greeted with an astonishing panorama that stretches out in every direction. The Bernese Alps rise and fall in a series of rolling hills, while the valley below is a patchwork of green fields and rustic villages. On a clear day, the famous Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks of the Jungfrau region are visible in the distance, their snow-capped peaks glinting in the sunlight.

But it’s not just the grandeur of the mountains that makes the view so memorable. The light, good weather, and breathtaking colors combine to create a moody atmosphere that is both dramatic and humbling. Clouds can roll in, bringing an added layer of drama to the scene, and the ever-changing light casts an ever-changing glow over the landscape.
