Well actually I also like chinese culture.
Mochi, and rice cultivation is from china. So are bonsai. The Kimono is inspired by china as well as the Kanji (the writing)
Buuuut the Katana is historically believed to actually originate in japan. And “long sharp metal stick” isn’t something that people copy. Most cultures figure that one out themselves

Where I live there are a few “Ramen” Japanese restaurants that have great reviews and they seem to be popular.
However, there’s a small Chinese restaurant I love (owned and run by Chinese people) that serves mostly “noodle soups” which essentially, for the ignorant, would be considered “ramen”, but yet, this place doesn’t have the same following, although, in my opinion it’s better than any Japanese “Ramen” place around.
Again, not to take away any credit from the Japanese restaurants, but the general opinion and understanding (and comparison) of both cultures bothers me a lot.
Also, this is in Wales, so you’d think the Welsh would understand and appreciate the difference between the two, smh.

I don’t understand why I am getting all of this hate. Do the research. You will be surprised to see how many Chinese things are labeled Japanese (Ramen included too!).
