It’s unfortunate that she hasn’t learned how to remove a cast yet.
Like the title says, my girlfriend is working hard to be an orthopedic tech and a big part of that job is applying casts. She reeeeeaaaally wanted to practice her leg casts before she got them evaluated and needed a patient. I wanted to support her so I’m now in a cast for the weekend to see how it holds up. Since it’s a real cast, I’ve even committed to using crutches since I can’t easily walk on it….the things I do for love ðŸ˜

there is an episode of *My Strange Addiction* where a guy is “addicted” to putting himself in casts. when he was out and about and someone would ask, “what happened?” and he would explain, “nothing – i just like to do this”, the look of disgust on peoples faces was delightful

I hope she has access to a cast saw to remove it after the weekend…
I don’t want this to happen, but if she ghosted you or disappeared tomorrow, this would be a hell of a story to explain to your employer and the doctors removing it 😂😂
Can I sign it?
If you want to be mean, do what I did when my coworker was practicing and asked me to volunteer as a guinea pig. Text a pic of your new cast to a few friends or family members with no explanation and let them freak out for a few mins.
Okay but the doctor/patient role play must be fun while doing this
Did she break the leg first before putting it on the cast?
Now you can easily get a few weeks of from work😅
Appreciate the commitment. Takes a lot of courage to break your leg just so that your girlfriend can practice putting a cast on it for you.

As someone who has worked for a podiatrist for many years, putting countless casts on fractured ankles and feet – this is a textbook looking cast. Well done!
