Empire Earth. Downright unplayable now, but back then it was magical

Battle for Middle Earth 1 & 2

My boys and I used to play every weekend, especially the 2nd one’s multiplayer. Man I miss that game.

Command and Conquer: Generals. It was my first.

Rise of Nations and StarCraft

R.U.S.E, just an incredible campaign, sank at least 10k hours into that

Not so obscure but Total war formed my personality and has my life in a vice grip.

Homeworld holds a special place for me.

KKND if you played this you are my kin and I would loan you money because I know in your heart you are a good person.

Star Wars: Empire at War.

Not my favorite game, but certainly one that was, somehow, left unnamed in this thread.

Dark Reign

Total annihilation

Supreme Commander 1 and 2.

Myth 2: Soulblighter

Universe at War: Earth Assault

Everyone is mentioning popular games? I remember playing Warwind 1 and 2 at my Dad’s friends house when we lost power. It is like a fever dream but I really remember liking the series. I managed to be the first one but didn’t have time to finish the second. I wonder if they are available for download anywhere.

AOE2

Command and Conquer back in the early 1990s. It was awesome! Still addicted to this day. Then Star Craft, Command and Conquer Red Alert, Red Alert 2, Act of War and a few others. Can’t wait for Broken Arrow!

Ground control

Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds was a banger

Army Men RTS

Empire Earth, my beloved

I loved Tzar: Burden of the Crown when I first started playing games. The game that introduced me to RTS games and opened the door for me to AoE, BFME, CoH, etc.

Warcraft 2 and Red Alert

But if we are talking about Obscure?

Battle Realms.

Knights and Merchants …. Populous

impossible creatures

Warzone 2100

Cortex Command, i wish it were more popular

Oh my god black and white for me

Age of Empires 1, and when it released, Age of Mythology. I don’t know, that game was a gift from my dad… That’s why I have so much nostalgia. He is alive and well, but I miss those times.

Axis and Allies, circa 2004 I think. I checked it out from the library every time it was in.

is Battle Realms obscure?

Company of Heroes

Stronghold I
