People bitch about US companies and US billionaires, but if you want to see pure, unadulterated corporate greed and skull-fuckery, you’ve got to delve into the lovely Swiss, and Nestle.
– Getting mothers, especially in poor countries, to not lactate, so they can sell them baby formula
– Buying off politicians to get water rights for a few pennies per 1000 gallons, that they bottle and sell for a dollar plus, for 12 or so ounces. Even in drought states.
– Child labor claims in cocoa producing countries.

Are there any other countries with as openly legal and standardized corruption as the US? It’s wild that our government has the gall to call such open corruption “free speech”.

You would think that they would want to encourage people to have children.

I cannot express how TRUE this is. If I had to go into the office everyday/put my baby in daycare full time, there is no way in hell I’d pump or continue to BF.

I’ve been trying to avoid Nestle for years since I found out about the whole Africa baby formula thing (google it), but it’s hard because they own SO MANY companies.

Turns out, “our” government is just the HR department for a bunch of corporations and they don’t even bother to button up the trenchcoat.

Every time I ask one of my Trump supporting friends what steps he plans to take to make sure billionaires are paying their fair share and putting some brakes on corporations and them totally screwing us all, they always fall back to it’s the immigrants/welfare recipients who are the cause of so many of our problems and needs to focus on them.

That’s all the “culture war” is. They want to make you angry at trans people, immigrants, drag queens, women seeking abortions, so they can keep robbing you blind.

I think it’s bizarre people can’t think both that China is bad and our own political system has obvious problems at the same time.
Like, are you saying China isn’t bad?
