If DOGE gets what it wants it’s going to tank the economy even more just based on the millions of people that will now be without jobs thanks to them cutting everything. As others have mentioned, it’s one thing to run a business like this, where you are cutting costs to increase profits, but its another to run a country like this because as soon as you cut those federal jobs you’re now responsible for finding every single one of those people jobs again

Gutting NASA means SpaceX or Bezo’s blue origins will be stealing all 80 years of our tax investments into research, patenting what they can and charging us an exorbitant fee to provide the services a well funded NASA already had the expertise to handle.
This is a money grab and it’s our money being taken.

I’m just sitting here waiting for people to realize how bad things will get if the actually public doesn’t step in. These people not only want to ruin or country, but separate it. We really let someone from South Africa who benefited from the apartheid do this.
Stupid thing is that organization already exists. The house committee on oversight and accountability. Their job is to make sure that when the government allocates money that the money is used for the purposes it’s intended. When they find money being used improperly they notify Congress and address the issue. The problem is that Congress isn’t always very good about assigning where the money should be spent. As long as it’s being spent in the way that Congress designated it they don’t have any issues. Their job is not to decide whether the programs are worthwhile or not but simply to make sure that it’s used for the purposes intended.

Step 2: Nasa is forced to let go a large portion of its highly trained employees
Step 3: Hire top tier scientists that are desperate for employment for cheap.
