The (one of many) reason they wish to reinstate this is not just because they don’t work – which is true, it’s because they have some major plastic billionaires sitting around their table and they WANT MORE MONEY. If they just make plastic straws legal again and are able to use those old stockpiles of thousands upon thousands, they should get lots of money!
And ruin the environment. This makes more sense given they’ve opened Alaska fully to be besieged by oil brigades and resource plundering.
But given it’s trump I guess people forgot to tell him about metal straws. All in on destroying this planet and moving to mars before the dust settles!
