I’ve seen MUCH dumber tweets unfortunately. But just to pour salt and chlorine in the wound, the Holocaust, The Great Purge, almost every infamous conquest, etc involved thousands of people being enslaved.

The dumbing down of America is truly a sight to behold.

Conservatives have never met a fact that they want to believe.

Approximately 1.8 million slaves died just during the journey to America.

Easily 40,000 slaves died fighting during the civil war

The number of slaves that died at the hands of slave owners is impossible to find but it happened without a doubt. Whether through starvation or punishments that went to far or they just killed them because of other reasons (back talk, rebellions, etc)

There are no records for almost any of that because law enforcement was more likely to side with the slave owners as a matter of course.

I think they’re trolling the black person for the lolz because they don’t care. They know more people died in slavery but it happened to black people so fuck ’em, it’s not important or worthwhile. The cruelty and indifference to others is the point.

edit: I think judging the tweet depends on whether we think they’re more stupid or more cruel. I think, today, that many of them (perhaps not most) know better and that most enjoy hurting and insulting their perceived enemies.
