exactly why i unsubbed from there a few years ago after only being on the sub for a few days. there is a filter for mourning posts – which doesn’t do much since most people are too dumb to pick the right flair

Most of the pet subs are like this, but more niche pet subs often have way better vibes. Like r/pets and r/dogs are an endless void of misery, but breed specific subs like r/pitbulls are often almost entirely cute pictures/videos of dogs. However, you’re always going to find posts about death and disease in any pet subs.

r/blackcats are what I’m subbed to. But even then sometimes I’m depressed. Lol
