sex is a part of human life, and a good one when the participants are consenting adults
sex can communicate intimacy, connection, trust, passion
deciding it “doesn’t have any impact on the plot” is more telling on yourself for functional media illiteracy than anything else; there’s such a thing as gratuitous nudity, but if you think sex and sexuality ruins an otherwise good and interesting movie, you’re a prude, that’s it
I personally enjoy sexuality and seeing healthy sexuality portrayed in my media
