The Sims did a collab with The Black Eyed Peas for their Urbz game and the Simlish cover of this song is in fact the original — and it’s painfully obvious.

I think it’s “real version” and “radio edit”, rather than like an original version they updated once they realized they shouldn’t say that. “Let’s get it started” was what played on the radio when the album came out.
