We are the labour but, can’t control it. We are the blood and sweat. We are.
And those billionnaires don’t think this is enough. They want to rule as kings. Hence, the laws and regulations are dismantled to make way for dictatorship, and they have started invasions for more land now.

Hey they have almost everything. Once they have literally everything and nuke us, then they’ll be happy.
This is just the end result of an obviously corrupted capitalistic system that you and your parents all blindly cheered on as better than any alternatives because 1. your government told you so and 2. it’s easier to sit on your asses than having to make an effort to make real changes
Own up to your “at least we have freedom” and the millions of foreign civilians you have murdered in illegal wars to get to this point
Country was an oligarchy the day it was founded in 1776. Can’t rewrite history to pretend this is new.

And the oligarchs have captured all three branches of government and the (formerly) free press. They use culture wars to incite the 99% to fight each other instead of the real enemy.
What will it take to overturn oligarchy?
I’m not an Economist but surely having that much of the economy tied up with so few people (especially ones who spend little time in the US) is bad for the economy? Money needs to move to have value and these guys just hoard and add no value.
This is the truth, BUT is also very misleading. They only control it because we let them control it. We the people are just to devided to do anything about it! And that’s the way THEY like it! But the truth is, if we could find a way to come together… NOTHING CAN BE MAKE, GROWN, OR TRANSPORTED WITHOUT US!

and they are about to start rounding up the people that think they should be paying more taxes on that obscene wealth…isn’t that special ?

Why does the 50%, the largest group, not simply eat the other 0.1%?
It’s been this way for quite some time… I’m not sure why everyone seems to think it just started with this election. Our system allows corporations to be seen as people. Our politicians become enormously wealthy by being so called “public servants. The corporate interests pay our politicians off by “campaign donations” and donations to their “charities”. Our government is run by wealthy individuals who have learned to “legally” siphon money from the taxpayers to themselves by many means. I repeat this is not new. When the government just prints money because they couldn’t even be bothered to budget, it is essentially stealing from us as well by means of inflation. However it’s a boondoggle. The founders tell us what to do, however most people are happy as long as the power stays on and they can get their McDonalds. Anywho.. here I go just ranting on the internet again

If I earn $40k/yr, but I am genuinely happy and satisfied with my life, am I losing?
If I earn $50M/yr but I still work 50+ hrs a week and try my hardest to make as much money as possible and am never truly satisfied with what I have, but I still have 100s of millions of dollars, am I winning?
How are those numbers different when applied to any other country or to the world as a whole?

I guess it’s inevitable. Sometimes societies need these things to happen, as this is where the change will come from. Let them keep taking our money! Once we have a revolution we will start again

How much is in between 50% and 99.9% ?
Conveniently for us that’s like all of ten people.
We have always been an oligarchy. Our country was founded by wealthy land and slave owners. Almost every policy put forth by the US government for 250 years has been for the sole purpose of securing and consolidating more capital.
To frame this in terms of time, the bottom 50% have the money equivalent of when humans started building with sandstone blocks or cooking with fire (about 120,000 years).
The top 0.1% has the money equivalent of twice as long as humans have even existed (almost 700,000 years).
I did this because a similar exercise helped me grasp the order of magnitude between 1 million (about 12 days) and 1 billion (32 years). It made talking about these numbers easier for me, so I’m sharing in case it helps someone else.
