I like how it’s just perfectly the four corners. Like it’s almost being polite, “hey um excuse me, we would like to breathe…I’m just gonna, yup right there on the corners. Ok great thanks!”

This picture does a great job of illustrating how tumeric prefers a warmer environment in which to sprout. It only happened in the corners here, because a corner is 90 degrees.

Plants can lift very heavy weights as they grow. I grow microgreens in trays, you have to put weight on top to help develop roots, but eventually they’ll lift the cover, even if the cover is topped with a cast iron pan and a brick

Nature always finds a way! This turmeric is on a mission to escape the container—kind of impressive and mildly terrifying at the same time
It reminds me of the Taj Mahal, which is fitting for turmeric.

That’s about a week from walking out of there itself and using your body as a host.
If you plant it it’ll eventually grow some pink flowering heads – look up Curcuma.
