I have to say this must really suck for anybody that built their entire campaign on blaming this man for everything on the gamble that he would never willingly resign.

JD Vance did something similar, only it was a couch he carried from the White House to his trailer.

Is the ‘taking the chair’ a genuine tradition for the outgoing prime minister or was he just being a rascal?

I sat in his chair once, when visiting the house of commons. Though i dont think i was supposed to. The nameplate next to his chair was taken off to prevent people from doing that haha. The fabric on the chair is really mesmerising (Looked much better in person than in pictures), and the build quality on the chairs is fantastic. They’re suprisingly heavy.

So there was plenty I didn’t like the liberal government in general for… but I never really understood the hate Trudeau got as an individual… he came, he saw, he went. And while he was there, he did plenty of the things he was voted in to do, maybe not everything people wanted… but a lot more than plenty of governments.

What impresses me is that he’s still young enough that he could make a return to politics years from now. Few prime ministers have had it as rough as him, so using his added age and wisdom, he could potentially use his experience to mop the floor with his opposition.

I know we all take negative criticism differently, but I bet resigning from politics has got to feel great. To wake up the next morning and feel little to no pressure and just be a dad.

So, genuinely asking:
Why is every political ad in Canada an attack ad? Every single one in my life, radio or tv, has been “Don’t vote for this jerk, they did x y and z. Do you want THAT kind of bozo running things?”
And…thats the whole ad. Not “this is what we want to accomplish. We are going to do x y z to achieve that”.
Like, really, what the hell? Why is this even allowed? You just spend 30 seconds of ad time bitching about someone instead of telling me what youre about or what youre planning to contribute. Why the hell would I vote for any of you?

back to being the MP from papineau, is he running in that riding again? or is he done with parliment for now?
He looks happier now
