A McDonald’s employee collected the prize bag on identifying the UnitedHealth CEO assassin.

Some clarification on details a few commenters are saying:
It was NOT a McDonald’s employee. It was a customer. One news article described them as “an older person.” The reward for calling in a tip that would lead to the arrest of the suspect was raised to something like $60k. The old customer who phoned in did NOT receive that reward because they called 911 instead of the crime stoppers number and so they are ineligible due to technicality. (most recent info I heard. we may get further clarification later)
Now that I think about it, I wonder how often those tip rewards are even payed out. I can’t remember any case of a person actually receiving the money. Why even bother. I’d be like, “Nah, pay me first then I’ll give you the tip.”

Reward coulda been 100k. I don’t know who this man is. I mean, he could be walking down the street, I wouldn’t know a thing. Sorry to this man

There’s one person in a McDonald’s that would snitch for $10K, but are there 12 people in the country who would bring back a guilty verdict?

I’m not saying we Dedox the McDonald’s employee but if you know the person please punch them in the Kidneys or Balls as hard as you can. Preferable both. Again I don’t condone random weirdos on the Internet taking out there aggression on a McDonald’s worker. You should be saving that aggression for the CEOs. But if locally you could get justice.

There was a shooting in NY of the CEO of United Healthcare on December 4, 2024. Social Media collectively decided he was a good guy vigilante. A McDonald’s employee called in a sighting that resulted his arrest today (Dec 9). So we (Americans) are safe from the McDonalds employee that turned in the most loved person in America this week

For turning in a murderer….not only a murderer but one who did not even have the courage to face his victim and instead shot him in the back with a silenced gun. What a hero

I get that it’s a reference to the McDonalds employee who reported the health insurance CEO assassin, but what’s the “marked safe” blue flag bit? Like in what context to you get awarded a flag for not being hated? What is that a reference to?

The McDonald’s employee who snitched on the guy who killed the insurance company CEO. The CEO was a corporate mass murderer and the guy that killed him is a folk hero. In addition, the snitch was a minimum wage worker whose class interest is directly opposed to that of the CEO, making them a traitor to the working class.

As much as I support Luigi, are you guys really hating on a minimal wage McD worker? Apart from that, did the Crimestoppers poster include what he did? Like, the case is known worldwide, but Redditors wildly overestimate how many people (outside their Reddit bubble) are on the same page with what’s happening in the world. They might’ve as well just consider him a random criminal, unaware that they’re snitching on a hero.

This is insane to watch from a Scandinavian country with free healthcare. Trump was just voted president and the republicans are getting more power. Your healthcare system is completely f*****, and you all decided it was okay to murder this one business man, who guess what, does business and makes money. Obama tried to do some minor improvements, but again people where elected who dismantled it. Your anger against these insurance companies are just distracting you from the people that you elected, who makes this policys. Don’t take your anger out on the guy who plays the system for his own gain, be mad at the actual policys that makes it possible.
Maybe this murder, yes it is a murder, creates a movement and things can change, but i doubt it. You’ll just celebrate the death of this one meaningless guy, and nothing will happen. Somebody has already taken over his jobb and continues the same practices, but maybe with a few more bodyguards.
Ps. Yes, i know not all of you voted Trump, most of you here probably did not, it is reddit after all, but that is saddly how a democracy works.
