Assuming its those bolt action ones, no. It just looks like a normal pistol with a cheap/homemade suppressor that doesn’t do well with the pistol he used and that’s what made it jam. And that he was “trained, a proffesional” guy could’ve been playing videogames in his free time. It’s not hard to understand that the slide has to go back and forth with every shot.
Call me crazy, but I’m beginning to think this might not have been a random act of violence. You think the shooter might have been trying to send a message?
I really don’t think it was a VP9; the NYPD are watching too much gun YouTube. The pistol + suppressor package that guy was holding is too big to be the VP9.
There’s been a lot of rumors that the killer used a B&T VP9, but the killer didn’t. It was a regular semiautomatic pistol that wasn’t set up right to be used with a suppressor. That’s why you see the killer racking the slide over and over because the pistol wasn’t set properly to fire with a suppressor.

The symbolism of using a weapon that is specifically designed to put down livestock. Just like the guy treated his customers like cattle. And it makes a point about gun control because it wasn’t some assault rifle, it was a common use tool. Something like this wouldn’t even show up on a watchlist or ban list.
