American spent the last 90 years making fun of France for surrendering to the Nazis and calling them cowards, but we forget that there was a group of brave people who continued to fight them from the inside. The French are NOT cowards and I humbly ask them to share that spirit with us now. We’ll need it.
Legitimate question not being an ass, what’s the plan? If we’re seriously throwing these fuckers out we’re not just going put Harris in and call it a day right? We need to tear the system down and rebuild it or something because almost nothing will actually change if we just swap em out. The system is rigged against us, the majority, and is in favor of them, the 1%, if we’re really gonna do this we need to make an actual change to our government not just a temporary change of who’s in charge.

After listening to Marco Rubio speak on “This Week”, I was too enraged to finish listen to the episode. I don’t think Americans are too familiar with the guillotine. Americans are more familiar with the tar/feathering and lynching.

The problem with liberal #resistance people is that they want to have this epic revolution just to replace Trump with the fucking Schumer imperium or something. Nobody is going to want to go to the mat just to put the Democrats back in charge. You can’t have a revolutionary movement without an actual plan, goals, vision, and unifying cause, which is not the same old uninspired dead end liberalism that got us here in the first place.
If you want to actually do something about fascism, you need to embrace the thing that defeated it last time, which is socialism. Stop clinging to cynical neoliberal stooges like Obama, throw it all out, NONE of them or the politics they represent are any use to anyone anymore. The institutions are rotten, the fabric of society is rotten, because it’s beholden to a capitalist system that has overstayed it’s welcome and THAT is what any revolutionary moment has to have in mind before it even starts.
These people don’t even KNOW what they have in mind. It’s the same shit with every liberal protest, no matter how many people show up. They’re just venting. What do you want? What are your demands? If you have none, you’ll get none. They’re right that revolutionary rage and energy is ratcheting up, and that’s exactly why we need socialism. It’s the only plan that actually has concrete, directly actionable ideas for how to harness that energy in a productive direction. It wouldn’t be ‘liquidate the bourgeoisie and nationalize the fortune 500 list’ right away, but it’s equally good for getting your foot in the door with organizing around labor, healthcare, and housing demands. Democrats take money from people who profiteer off of exploiting all of those.
TL;DR you won’t get this revolution you want until you stop invoking the French Revolution and start invoking the October Revolution. The French Revolution was the gateway to the bourgeois stage of history we’re currently in, the October Revolution was the first step into the gateway to the next.

1789 France really wasn’t a success.
Protesting only works against people with morals. The time for protesting was back when Reagan set your country on the path to this, or any time after that until Trump’s recent election.
Now is the time for general strikes. The most important power you as the people have is to do catastrophic damage to the profit margins of the ones ruling you. For that you need to organize and support each other.
