It’s fascinating to watch arguments against the use of the judicial branch when Trump and the GOP did nothing but underhanded shit the last few years *using the judicial branch*.

The judge didn’t threaten arrest, and the unholy administration is accusing federal workers of being “deep state actors” for trying to follow the judge’s order at FEMA.

It is fascinating seeing all these conservatives bitching about judges stopping executive orders, and asking how they have the authority to do such a thing.
IT’S THE FUCKING JOB OF THE JUDICIAL BRANCH TO DETERMINE THE CONSTITUTIONALITY OF EXECUTIVE FUCKING ACTIONS, YOU ABOMINABLE FUCKWITS!!!

It’s kind of scary that every time any opposition to this stuff makes the news it’s coming from a democrat. As soon as they manage to appeal this up to a republican judge none of it is unconstitutional or harmful anymore. “Have a nice day mister president, please enjoy all the power and funding of congress in addition to your own.” It really is all of them who want to destroy the country.
Edit: okay, sometimes when you read about opposition it’s Mitch McConnel trying to clear his conscience without really changing anything. Which is miiiiiildly better at this point than nothing.

…and when they look back in history. The first volley that signified the death of the American dream will be shown to have been a turtle neck mofo and his stuffed court justices with pens in hand signing a ruling of qualified immunity. Madame freedom and justice cried that day. She knew her time was at an end.

Didn’t the supreme Court find that a president has immunity for any official act? You know that the president is an elected king?

It’s not an Obama-appointed judge.
A judge is assigned to make sure all laws are followed.
Some people just can’t have that.

In 1803, the landmark Supreme Court case Marbury v. Madison established the principle of judicial review, empowering the judiciary to declare laws unconstitutional. However, this case did not grant judges the authority to arrest a sitting president. The separation of powers enshrined in the U.S. Constitution delineates the distinct roles of each branch of government. While the judiciary can review and invalidate executive actions that contravene the Constitution, it does not possess the power to detain or arrest the President. Addressing presidential misconduct is primarily the responsibility of the legislative branch through the impeachment process.
