As an adult, you shouldn’t care what teenagers or other adults think of you. Life isn’t s popularity contest.

I took my deck to an indoor playground where another dad came to me and asked “hey cool computer, what you playing?”

And so we talked for a bit and explained it was a SteamDeck. Dudes gonna buy one to now 🤣

They are teens. Who give s a shit what they think?

I’ve had curious people ask what it is and how I liked it, but no hate. If anyone didn’t like it, that’s their problem and they can fuck right off.

Lel. Brother, who bloody cares what teens say? They literally know nothing about anything.

Don’t let them bully you or anything, though, obviously.

I mean this in the nicest way possible dude but no one’s going to think you’re cool for bringing video games to the park. That being said, who gives a shit? I see so much dumb shit people do I don’t understand, you do you and don’t worry about anyone else. You’re married and have kids, you won at life dawg and should only care about what your family thinks of you

After 40, I really hard stopped giving a shit about what people think of what I’m doing or wearing in public. I think everyone eventually hits an age where it just clicks and you realize why your dad didn’t care what he was wearing when going out.

Double down and bring a Quest 3

as they walked by staring at their phones…….

Oh no, some teens laughed at you! How will you ever survive the shame!!

Easy for me to say, but you shouldn’t take their comments seriously and you certainly shouldn’t let them affect you in any meaningful way.

Who cares? They will have stopped thinking about it within 3 seconds, while you’re still thinking about it.

Teenagers will laugh at their own best friend if they think it will get them clout with whoever they’re with. They’re kids. As shitty as it is, they aren’t actually trying to ruin your day. They just say shit.

Don’t think too deeply about it.

I pulled out my deck at a park and they called the police on me, not a good idea guys

Respond, “I Skibidi did.” Take a sip from a Stanley mug and Watch them become embarrassed by proxy then call you a loser and run off. You have games to finish.

Idgaf what teens think and neither should you. We’re talking about a population who play games on phones and don’t have adult level money. I mean… lol

Teenagers are morons. Enjoy your Deck. They probably can’t afford one lol.

You aren’t noticing them, but there is a similar number of guys your age watching you and wishing they were in your exact position at that moment.

This is sad OP. You really ran to Reddit for support after some kids laughed at you?

I took my wife to a posh hotel for a break away from the kids. She went to the spa, I sat in the restaurant that overlooks the swimming pool playing Diablo 4. The looks I kept getting were quite funny, fairly sure a women called me a weirdo. I don’t care though, my life, I’ll do what I want when I want.

Put some headphones in and ignore the weirdos.

Don’t pay attention to these losers lol, enjoy your deck

I haven’t gotten any reaction on planes, buses, parks, airports or trains. Some curious looks at most.

“His Switch” How uncultured, their opinion is moot. 😭

My opinion: if your kids are in an age where they play on a playground you play with them. It doesnt matter if they need to be looked at. The days where you spend such time with them will be gone soon. I have rather the memories of playing with my kid than playing my steam deck in public.

Once i was playing my deck on the train and this middle age lady just walked past and asked why a grown man still plays game like a kid.

Teenagers are the scariest people in the world, and also the people whose opinions mean the absolute least

Life is a lot easier when you don’t care about the opinion of people you will never see again.
