Funny but categorically incorrect and does a huge disservice to Pippin. Not only did Pippin know the entire plan, including the fact that the mission was to destroy the ring, something Sauron couldn’t fathom, he kept essentially all of this information hidden. Despite the fact that he was being confronted with the most dangerous power currently in middle earth. Sauron incorrectly concludes that Pippin, and by extension Gandalf and Aragorn, have the ring, which could not have been further from the truth.

Pippin screwed up big time, but he kept everything a secret.
