The only character that they would never race swap? Tarzan

Netflix has a race swap kink, it seems.

white washed it

Simple question, is the show supposed to be about this specific case or not? Because it seems like I’m not getting a good fucking answer here.

The reallity is always darker…

Seems a bit more complicated than you are letting on. The short series was inspired by multiple knife crimes, possibly including the one you are referencing, and is fictional. Took me… 30 seconds to figure this out on google.

They can’t film it based on real life portrayal because certain people would get offended over it.

They would say that either he didn’t do it or they purposefully made him black.

The guy on the left was jailed 7 days ago.

This is race baiting nonsense don’t fall for it

1) The show isn’t about that case, it’s about knife crime.

2) People love to whine about shows having too many black folks. Weird how they have a problem of not having enough black folks now.

Unless I’m missing something, this meme is nakedly racist. There’s been a couple of different instances in the UK of young boys killing young girls. Some have been white boys, some have been black. Netflix has made no claim that the show is depicting the specific case of Elianne Andam as far as I’m aware.

They did this with a movie called Stuck also.

The mini-series ‘Adolescence’ isn’t even based on a true story and is a commentary on incel culture and cyber bullying, far from the real case, also considering the mini-series was filmed before the trial was over. So this is just OP being racist.

Jesus. “NO POLITICS!!” They screamed, but constantly posting race stuff is fine though.

hE WaS THe best fiT FoR tHE RolE

He only got 23 years as well. He should be removed from the gene pool.

I can’t get over he only got 23 years for a brutal murder of a classmate. This was 1st degree murder and he got 23 years at the age of 18? That kid must of had a lawyer that knew the system 😂

At this point the insanity of modernity is beyond parody.

I would have called his fake if I didn’t already see the story yesterday.

Thats fucked up.

They made who? from what colour to what?

I’m pretty sure that the show never claimed to be based on this story or any singular incident. But sure, let’s pretend our media is afraid to show non-white people committing criminal actions.

Reverse disney

I’d say it’s more a case of Netflix trying to create a thought provoking story that’s relevant to our times, whilst simultaneously trying to navigate a world persistent on relating everything to the base notion that it’s more important to judge each other based on what colour you are, rather than dealing with the issue of knife crime.

A rare white washing from Netflix! It’s usually the other way around with them.

And Ginny.

What’s the issue? Nothing relevant is different.

For a teddy bear? What a criminal mind! He is dangerous! What, mental illness? Black people doesn’t have that…

But if it’s a white boy, then people can understand he is sick.

reminds me of the kid in shameless who got jailed cause someone stole his bike and he took a hammer to the kid..

You know, for a few years i have come to the conclusion that companies just racebait for engagement. Like us. Talking about it like it should have value. Its a vicious cycle of being manipulated by corporate shmucks.

Even argueing in good faith just divides further and lands us in the pockets of the rich. Every syllable i put down is a dollar for the fatcat. I loathe the way many have to live because of the decisions of the few. And to make sure we dont do anything about it they distract us with bait like this…

Cant we just do real shit?
