I am on Linux subreddits. A lot of them take everything literally. I still refuse to use /s unless it’s on special occasions. I don’t care who doesn’t get the joke because most people do.
Forreal, I’ve had posts where I simply ask how a certain game mechanic works in a popular video game and first post roasts me for complaining(?) and I’m downvoted to hell? For asking a question? Then I thank the user who actually answers my question and helps me out. Then my thank you post is downvoted to hell? Meanwhile people are upvoting the trolls flaming me for being new to the game. Ok bruh. Since then I’ve just figured that reddit is the by far most toxic social media site so I treat it with a “Your boos mean nothing to me” attitude.
