I’m just wondering how they’ve won the “culture war”?
Does sending someone death threats and threatening to expose a person’s home address count as “cancelling”?

I grew up in a small conservative town and just didn’t like the same things as most kids. I wasn’t gay, wasn’t trans, I wasn’t disabled, wasn’t an ethnic minority…
Every single thing that I said every single thing that I liked, did, or the people I associated with were put under the most insane scrutiny.
Dress a certain way and you’d get barked at like a dog. Answer a question right in class? you’d get made fun of. Pass on the question? get called stupid.
Take up skateboarding and they’d try and stop you from riding the bus, coming into their store, or actively try to steal your shit so you couldn’t be “different.”
Conservatism conserves absolutely nothing and cannibalizes it’s youth.
It’s a fucking brain disease; born of jealousy, insecurity, and fear.
When conservatives invented the culture war, it was for the express purpose of declaring their own victories in it unhindered by fact, history, or intellectual honesty. Rebuttals do nothing against that.
They ban books.
Remember when they were threatening to boycott any store with “Happy Holidays” signs instead of “Merry Christmas” ones?
But yeah, it’s the left that engages in cancel culture…

Who feels comfortable talking to someone from the “fuck your feelings” crowd?
If the right has won the culture war, it is because they primary tactics are willful ignorance and willful hypocrisy – two tactics that simply cannot be effectively countered in honest discussion.
But they haven’t won the culture war. They wouldn’t know what to do with it of they had. They cancel people constantly, it’s literally their whole platform at this point. And the only reason McCain can say “people are more comfortable talking to conservatives” is because she still falls into the traps of willful ignorance and hypocrisy, in order to maintain a romantic ideal of who and what conservatives are.
Conservatives are the most triggered people. If a company markets to anyone that isn’t white they immediately call it woke. They think they can control how a private company should market their products.
I was at an event thrown at a fancy hotel not long after that whole clown show started, and some drunk frat bro was giving a poor bartender hell about offering bud light.
“You’re really selling bud light? Don’t you know what bud light stands for? They’re pushing the woke trans agenda!”
