I think we’re in awe watching because we all sort of hope/previously believed that the oligarchs running the world had some overarching plan for their villainy that was at least in some way predictable but it turns out they’re so lacking in ever having experienced a single day as a normal person that they’re just monumentally cringe weirdos who aren’t even subtle about their embarrassing behavior.
