Schools

When I was in HS, I was bullied by one of the jocks for being in marching band. When somebody brought it to the attention of the Freshman Principle, *I* got pulled into the office and told to “stand up for myself” and “advocate for myself” but to not “draw attention to myself like that.” Bruh what? I was the quiet kid in the corner that just wanted to show up, do school stuff, then get home to play video games.

“Stop punching that boy this instant!… (whisper) someone’s gonna see you, just make fun of him for being poor like the other kids do, okay?”
