They don’t know much about computers if they didn’t know you can turn off the setting that turns off the computer if you close the lid.

imagine taking the time to put that fucking sign on the laptop instead of changing the settings so it doesn’t turn off when you close the lid

The university I used to work at, had a server like this running in a conference room. It was running class registration software.
Someone stole it one day lol.

Last week I had one of my drives fail on my pex server(sounded like a cat hitting a fan) but it’s in raid 0 so I just pulled the hot swap drive .. what do you do in this use case.. probably no redundancy and if it has it no hot swap your gonna go down and louse data

Reminds me when I was in the back room at my old workplace.
Me: What’s this random, very unimportant looking switch? Is there another light in here or something?
*Clicks switch*
*My Boss gets a phone call*
My Boss: Yeah so our entire system just shut down, I guess that’s what the switch is for…
I swear to god, it looked like an everyday light switch with zero signage or indication of importance. It was just randomly on the wall in the corner.

We have 3 of those in my company, they get closed all the time. Also if you close the blinds on the Server room it overheats and shuts down the entire company.

Bruh… Turning off when the lid is closed is a setting you can definitely turn off ๐
is this laptop sucking directly from the carpet?
