It tastes better than it smells usually maybe you just hate coffee.
Ex wife liked it pretty well……I did not. She had me try MANY different coffee products and with widely varying sugar, milk, creamer, condiments in it. Still can’t even get past the bitter burnt carbon taste. It’s just the carbon. Can’t do it.

as somebody who buys fresh coffee, and uses a manual espresso machine, this is so wrong.
store bought and most coffee shops sell you coffee that is too dark, giving a very bitter taste.
Instant coffee straight up tastes like dirt next to a really good coffee.
Ofc you don’t have to use a manual espresso machine, there are a looot of ways to make good coffee without it, but the most important is the coffee itself and how you make it properly.
cold brew, mocha pot is easy to do and tastes amazing!
