Love that peach sunrise breaking through the clouds

Another crowded morning at Lake Louise. Today was crowded in particular and the noise level was like we were at an event. The water was rather still before the sun completely rose and managed to get this shot. Not the most vibrant sunrise, but that’s fine. If you’re planning on visiting, I highly recommend arriving 1-2 hours before sunrise to get a parking spot or taking a shuttle, but you’d have to reserve tickets online. Lake Louise was amazing, but not my favorite lake in Canada. I’ll be posting my favorite photos soon, so please consider following my [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/landscape.luke/) or [FB page](https://www.facebook.com/lukechenphoto/) for more! If you have questions regarding Lake Louise, feel free to post a comment and I’ll try my best to get back to you!

Love the composition.

I’m oddly fascinated by the rocks in mountain lakes. Something about the time it would have taken to break away, be tumbled in a waterway, and somehow end up on the edge of a lake. And there they sit, unmoving, through the seasons, sometimes browned with earth or algae, sometimes in multiple colours. I could live a long lifetime and still many of them would still be in place… I’m weird, I guess.

Breathtaking view! The calm water and those mountains ar sunrise make Lake Louise look magical.
