It’s funny how rich maga all want their children to go to the very best schools and colleges, just not yours.

I think Elmo being such an social media addicted and in-public idiot might actually create some class consciousness in this country.

I never worked anywhere where the good jobs would be taken by someone who didnt go to college and had a facebook of anti-woman, anti-black, anti-DEI, anti-trans, etc posting history.

Even a lower paying entry-level office job involves a degree, some kind of previous experience, and a spotless background check. Without this SpaceX and Tesla HR will not hire any of these people either. In fact, the top jobs at these places are Ivy-league kids.

I have no idea where these men think they’re going in life. I think a lot of young men are going to learn what “digital footprint” and “unemployable” means soon.

Even funnier in the comments and other posts they are complaining education is too expensive and no young americans even get the chance of these high educations. Like not disagreeing there, but hilarious it took them this long to catch up to the rest.

I think the thing I cannot stand the most about Elon (and similar failures) is how he continually announces things he’s “discovered” as if they’re groundbreaking but they’re always just common sense or already developed better. In this case, he announced:

“hey you guys probably didn’t know this because you’re not as smart as me but it’s actually expensive to invest in people and it’s kinda hard to train people on things so it’s much easier if you just poach people from other countries that are already educated/trained!”

And he genuinely expected like a standing ovation of people after their minds have been blown by this revelation with no possible drawbacks or negative implications for them

We want to hire foreigners so we can pay them less.

It’s cheaper to import a few big brains and keep the dumb labor local.

Also, why pay to educate when you can poach the successfully educated elsewhere, the imports work for less and don’t have hangups like ‘work life balance’ or ‘families to feed’

Trump seems rather quiet about this. He must not have Musk’s permission to speak.

We could just invest more in education.

H1bs are rarely about skill set, knowledge or work ethic.  They are predominantly about desperation and hiring an indentured servant that knows they’re going back to third world living conditions with no safety net and blacklisted for future employment.
