The wealthy elites want us to fight amongst each other. It’s not about race, gender, sexuality, it’s about the rich and the poor. If we unite against the wealthy elite that control the resources, keep us poor as they build vast amounts of wealth without working. As we slave for them.
They want us divided so they can continue to conquer us.

People just get in the internet and say anything. This is a trash take.
Trump’s populism was established, and is fuelled, by dis/misinformation. Broadly it’s not Black people who have fallen for it.
Remember Obama’s birth certificate, the 2020 Presidential Election, COVID, etc.?

It’s got to be something a majority of black people can believe by pointing to something else that has happened in history. For an example, some black people didn’t want to take the Covid vaccine because it seemed experimental and compared it to the Tuskegee experiment.

Here in the UK, we had racists marching through streets rioting, smashing up and robbing shops, setting fire to hotels with rrefugees trapped inside and smashed up mosques because of rumours.
Basically, a man wielding a knife attacked a group of small girls who were at a dance class.
Eight girls were stabbed and three were killed.
Online, a lady said the killer was a Muslim refugee. Video came out of a man waving about a machete.
Riots started.
Turned out, the was a Christian teenager born in Wales. The lady had lied. The video of the machete man, beieved at first to be asian, was of a white racist man trying to stir up hatred.
The actual killer was black, so racists tried to use that, but then it had also come out that another black man had helped rescue a bunch of the girls.
Also, considering people were robbing shoes and sausage rolls, the public weren’t buying the idea that the riots were about justice.

I used to think it was primarily education that shielded people from misinformation and while this is crucial, it’s a lack of bias/ideological capture that I now believe is most critical. To quell dissonant information that challenges your preconceived notions and biases, sometimes the only antidote is misinformation. You’re well educated and surrounded by progressive perspectives but your bigotry makes you NEED to believe that immigrants are trouble by simple virtue of being “other”, but the reality is that they keep to themselves and don’t do anything to reinforce your prejudice? Why not latch onto some misinformation that “justifies” your biases and appeased your cognitive dissonance? That way, shit doesn’t make you reckon with the fact that you’re probably just a bigot.
