And the NRA suddenly started giving a hoot about gun control AFTER the Black Panthers started openly displaying their Second Amendment rights.

The FBI murdered 21 year old Fred Hampton for political reasons. The American government raided a citizen’s apartment at 4:45 AM spraying over 100 rounds of ammunition into his home. The only person in Fred’s house that returned fire was a reflexive death shot when 22 year old, Mark Clark was sitting security. He was shot in the chest and a shotgun round went into the ceiling.
Hampton’s 8.5 months pregnant girlfriend was taken away and Fred was shot three times by FBI agents. They dragged his dead body through the apartment, shooting at others staying there. Three others of Fred’s crew were injured during this part. They were then arrested, beaten, and jailed on charges of aggravated assault.
He was determined to be too dangerous to be kept alive by the federal government. And the only dangerous things he believed in was (1) class solidarity, (2) racial equality, & (3) government accountability.
Yeah well this is what happens when you campaign on fear-mongering and stereotype terrorists and criminals as only coming from certain races/ethnicities/nationalities.
You get a nation full of ignorant xenophobes and borderline racists.

Hot take: Black Panther Party’s violence was not a terrorist attack; it was self-defense against corrupt police and authority. The true terrorists of that time were the police and FBI agents against innocent civilians, and the Black Panther Party formed as a response. I don’t trust the narrative of the police or agents after we’ve seen so many body cams show how these people really act.

At current by the FBI standards a terrorist must kill at least a Millionaire to be classified as a “Terrorist” else they are just murders. Lest we forget the classification of Luigi and the most recent mass killings. Luigi killed a rich man who, by said mans actions, made even more rich people. by way of a program that auto declined people about medical needs. Then the guy down in Louisiana who killed 9+ people by way of driving into them, just a wacko…but ignore the terrorist regalia he had in his home and all, as he was just a misunderstood man needing mental health,*ahem*, care is/was all.

The KKK is oldest conservative xtian terrorist organization in US and the christofascists won’t admit that even to themselves. They will try to convince you they same Dems as the Democratic party today. They will tell it isn’t racist if it is legal.
The movements to maintain the economic system of slavery and cultural white supremacy has always been conservative/reactionary. Doesn’t matter what party those people stood for.

I remember the Oklahoma City federal building was blown up back in the 90s. The news was like “This is a wake up call that we can have domestic terrorists in America.” They just ignored the KKK and other hate groups before that. Lol
Ok but the USA did actively work to get rid of the KKK in the 1940s, I think before the concept of the terrorist group was understood. The KKK was found to be in breach of tax laws and basically forced to shut down by giving it a massive tax bill.
Fred Trump was arrested for not disbanding in DC after that specific rally ended, which he took part of. So yeah that’s a modern day trump rally.
The Black Panther Party was also the only time the NRA came out in favor of gun control.
The KKK was treated as terrorist organization during the Grant Administration. You can literally Google “Klan Laws” and it’ll return three separate Acts of Congress. Then reconstruction ended… Those laws are still on the books but the last president demanding they be enforced was LBJ.
