This is sickening especially after it was admitted, Gulf of Tonkin incident didn’t happen like they said it did.

58,307 people that should never had died in the first place. I am a veteran and love my veteran bros’n’hoes and seeing this makes me angry as to why our government felt 58.307 human lives were worth achieving absolutely nothing.

Such a powerful image. A visualisation of the waste of so many young, brave, people. The optimist in me would hope we would learn from such an image, but naturally we do not.

That’s 58,307 happiest days of parents’ lives, 58,307 first steps, 58,307 first days of school, 58,307 graduations, and 58,307 worst days of their loved ones’ lives. Fuck war and fuck the “leaders” who send troops to die for nothing.

Even now many Iraqi- Afghan veterans aren’t treated well, the war was wrong based on more lies for the interests of a few. We keep doing this sadly we haven’t seemed to learn.

And to think, Vietnam now makes nice clothes and shit for the American consumer. Maybe we got the cart before the horse back then – get them in the supply chain as an alternative to invasion? Maybe 58,000 would be alive today?

Super weird to insert the word ‘male’ into this title. It’s not only men. The artists clearly talk about service members in their public statements about it, too.

Seeing it like this really puts it into perspective. You hear about millions in world wars and hundreds of thousands with Russia invading Ukraine. Hearing 58,000 is small in comparison and then you see this display and it puts the reality of the size of the number into perspective. Really makes you feel for them and the people that lost loved ones

I want any politican advocating for war to have to sit and read out the name of every single one of these veterans.
If they can’t even do that, they sure as hell aren’t qualified to send people to die. (They never are).
