It’s almost like we have countless flashpoints in world history(and several in American history) to look at how this ends up going for the elites when the population they have systematically immiserated for their own greed ends up boiling over and the whole system gets put in jeoporady.
This isn’t a threat so much as an acknowledgement of basic human social history. That when the pressure of anger and discontent amongst the middle and lower class is continually bottled up and ignored or suppressed, eventually the bottle can’t take anymore pressure and it explodes, and with few exceptions it really leads to what any party wanted.
In the eyes of the ruling class Thompson was doing his job, maximizing profits for his share holders, period. To them there is no altruistic “greater good”. His company decides who lives and who dies. This is the very propaganda rolled out by the insurance companies, pharmaceutical industry and medical industry every time we try to get single payer government medical. Instead we get Brian Thompson.
Really hope everyone keeps up this anti corporate/CEO anger! This is where our anger should be directed at not solely on the politicians that the corporations pay to be scapegoats. They are the reason everything is going to shit!

They effectively did kill this movement. It used to exist in the USA. It was the labor/civil rights movement. But they nerfed all of it and threw everyone else In jail. Now the movement is small. We are in our rebuilding era. People’s minds should be more focused on building the movement than they are on winning victories tbh. Victory comes later. We have very little power in this country.
