If these tariffs actually go through, we’ll be at risk of groceries costing us more than the inflation ever would have. Have these people never looked at the back of the bag and the box when they buy shit at the store? It almost never says “made in the USA”.

I work in construction, and some of my coworkers are unfortunately not very intelligent. One of them tried to complain about grocery prices and all I said was “well, you can’t blame Biden for it anymore”.
This mf goes off like a dog barking at the mailman. “BUT HES PARDONING HIS SON”. bruh that’s neither here nor there, you essentially just admitted you know you’re wrong but are too proud or stupid to own up.

They used “economic anxiety” as the excuse in 2016. When we had nothing but years and years of job and wage growth, low gas prices, low interest rates, etc. leading up to that election. It’s never *actually* about the economy with them. “The economy” is just a smokescreen
You also know what you don’t hear? You don’t hear about Biden’s supposed dementia issues. The man is still running this country well and making sound decisions.
Too many people really fell for it. I was watching channels ran by real Black people that aren’t even political in the slightest yelling about Biden’s supposed dementia. All of that disappeared right after Trump won. It stopped like a faucet. Now he isn’t talked about AT ALL. We supposed to be smarter than that but… *sigh* I bet they didn’t even get paid extra to pop that dumb shit.
Them Russian bots in general played on the ageism (because Biden was ‘too old’, but Trump is not) and anti-stutter crowd with the other people and it worked. (for the perennially slow, I’m not talking about Black people right now.) Like every candidate in history has had a bad debate, but in the face of someone who is really declining and had “concepts” of plans for America and had a terrible first Presidency, people chose to overlook that and really focused on the stutter. And when the rich whites got involved and told y’all Biden wasn’t able, it was a wrap. Where are those people now? If he’s so out of it, why didn’t they just invoke the 25th amendment instead of having Kamala run. He’s still President aren’t we in danger??? WHERE ARE THOSE PEOPLE THAT WERE SOUNDING THIS SUPPOSED ALARM??? I remember the, “I met with Biden, he didn’t remember who I was”, stories. WHERE ARE THOSE PEOPLE NOW?? Supposedly this ‘decline’ with Biden was happening a good year before the election. Now? SILENCE. Look I get why this is insidious, but I’d just like to point out that people tend to stop complaing about things when a solution comes up. If your a trump supporter, Trump is your solution. Thus you would stop complaing knowing salvation is on the horizon, at least from your perspective. It’s not all grifters and bad faith people.

I’ve noticed the goal posts were moved with republican voters. It started out about grocery prices but shifted after they realized tariffs were going to raise prices. Now they are willing to pay more since the tariffs will create more products made in the US.
They also haven’t mentioned the “tariffs are going to replace the federal income tax” line.
Why would they continue complaining? They (wrongly, of course) think the problem will be solved with Trump in office. There’s no need for them to continue ranting about Biden, they just have to wait a couple months.
