This still upsets me, what happened to Matthew, greatly to this day.
THAT is real Christianity. That is what Christian love should be.

So many speak of religion, as if they understand Christianity when indeed they have not read the Bible and don’t understand it, yet feel the need to comment anyway.

Religion is cancer yes good people exist but still religion is cancer
Reminded me of a story that I read in “The Stone Carvers” by Marjorie Hunt that provides information on the people who worked on the hundreds of carvings decorating the National Cathedral. One worker’s wife was dying of cancer and after years of working on the site, asked the bishop (a man back then) if his wife could be buried in the cemetery. The bishop hemmed and hawed and delayed giving an answer. When the bishop finally found the courage to tell the worker that, no his wife could not be buried in the cemetery, that it was reserved for others. The worker replied that his wife has since passed and the response had been expected. Her ashes had been mixed into the cement used to secure the carvings in place.
Not a religious or church person but I am a big fan of kindness, friendliness and helping each other.
She sounds like a decent human being and her words really speak to me.

If every religious person behaved like this, I would have no problem with religion.
