I’ve cut off a number of people who have acknowledged that this administration will do horrible things but didn’t care because they felt the things wouldn’t be done to *them.* One guy was at our house talking about how the restrictions on female reproductive health will have no effect on him while his wife was shouting him down. Apparently she had a very difficult pregnancy and was at serious risk for part of it. Oh, and he has a young daughter.
We told them this was going to happen and to vote for Kamala Harris.
But no, I know all of my friends on Facebook, all of whom are Black, tried to say “She was supporting genocide!” as justification for sitting this last election out or voting for Donald Trump.
Now and for the next four years, we’re going to be dealing with the consequences.

Umā¦do people even know how important the 14th Amendment is to black people and to all other non-white groups including Native Americans? It literally granted citizenship to freed slaves, and native Americans. Segregation being stuck down was based on the 14th amendment.
