Ukraine needs to start knocking out the oil shipping facilities in Russia ASAP. Without support they can’t wait anymore, they have to cut off Russias funding even if it hurts the worlds economies. The only reason they have held off was so they didn’t harm the Amerian economy, now that doesn’t matter to them anymore.

When Trump says one thing, means another and does a third. It’s a matter of competence. He doesn’t have any.

Putin does a blitzkrieg on kyiv and gets stuck. Trump elected again, Trump ends all assistance to ukraine within the first week of his second term and goes on a vendetta against NATO.

No Ukraine aid, but Israeli aid continues?

The USA has been bought. By poorer countries. What a disgrace.

Well, it’s gonna be fun having a freaky US invasion of Europe within the next decade or so. To “cleanse the old continent, together with our brave Russian allies”. It’s on my bingo card. Nothing surprises me anymore.

Obvious arguments aside, supporting Ukraine is *the cheapest* option in the grand scheme of things. The west has been able to get a front row seat/demonstration of western Vs russian kit, for what, the cost of some supplies that were affectively aging stock anyway?

If the US ever had to mobilise it’s own forces directly, instead of sending equipment, the costs would be astronomically higher.

Giving equipment to Ukraine for use in an active theatre gives them priceless feedback on what equipment and strategy is effective in the modern day. Ukraine has taught that modern warfare has a heavy focus on drones and missiles, and that Russian stockpiles and manufacturing aren’t as effective as portrayed. That’s so fucking valuable. When your budget is over 800 billion on military, having information to pivot the development of that massive investment is gold dust.

Can that be done on congressional approved aid?

At a time when Americans are facing their own crises, the government should prioritize accountability, diplomacy, and addressing domestic issues over indefinite financial commitments abroad.
