If I were a billionaire, I would look like a hobo. Why dress yourself when you don’t have to work.

I was about to shit on this guy for being the “I’m so cool I don’t need this money.” guy, but then I read some more…
Ole boy has donated $1 billion to StartSmall a global charity for children’s health and education. $1 billion to COVID relief for Americans. And he completely funded over 500 schools in his home state of Missouri since 2016…. The list goes on.
My apologies Jack Dorsey.

I’ve heard of people working full time jobs in the US and still being homeless. But a homeless billionaire is a new low, do better America!

I’ve always found it interesting how Americans state the net worth of an individual with the phrase “X is worth Y”, like your personal worth as an individual is tied to your monetary status.

Reddit is sanewashing this guy even though he’s a massive RFKjnr supporter and likely happy with the election results. Meanwhile everyone loves him because he has a newer Twitter that’s not been enshittified yet by right wing trolls

If I had NO obligations to a workplace, I would look probably kinda like that, except for the beard, because mine itches like HELL if I try to grow it past certain lenght
I would not mind buying clothes if I don’t have to present myself for anyone, I would get confortable shoewear (probably flip flops, it’s what I use 95% of the free time that I don’t spend barefoot) and some shorts or pants, if the climate asks for them.
Why would I mind lookin better if I have my life already fully paid for?

Almost makes me nostalgic for the old twitter days when the owner wasn’t bludgeoning the algorithm to enforce his own personal agenda on the site and ram his political views down your throat.

I actually met him once while travelling. I had no idea who he was and he was wearing what was presumably the same worn belt he had owned for the past few years. It was only afterwards when I googled him I discovered who he was. Guy was super friendly, respectful and appeared the money had not gone to his head.

That’s how most rich people tend to look. Like hobos, thinking they “don’t need millions” and are “one with nature”. It’s a luxury, to be filled with vanity, once you don’t have to worry about existence or money. Poser.
