Nice.

I was able to create this ~180° panorama of a hard to get to natural tunnel in one of the darkest places of europe, the Gesäuse national park.

Looks great. Is it October C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) comet?

Wie lange plant man denn dafür? Respekt!
Oh ja, das Gesäuse ist echt schön. Ich bin weiter oben viele Jahre auf der Salza unterwegs gewesen.

That is incredible, fantastic. Wow!

Spectacular.

The Cosmic Marvel of the Austrian Alps

Deep within the Austrian Alps, a natural tunnel, carved by the relentless forces of erosion, has yielded a breathtaking discovery. For centuries, the tunnel, known as the "Ötztal Alps’ Tunnel of Wonders," has been a source of fascination for locals and trekkers alike. Recently, a team of astronomers, led by Dr. Maria Huber, made a groundbreaking find within the tunnel’s ancient walls – two galaxies and a comet, suspended in a breathtaking celestial display.

The tunnel, located in the Ötztal Alps, is a natural limestone passage, stretching over 5 kilometers in length. For millions of years, water and wind have sculpted the tunnel, creating a unique environment of eerie silence and darkness. It was within this eerie setting that Dr. Huber and her team made their extraordinary discovery.

As they ventured deeper into the tunnel, the team noticed a faint, shimmering light emanating from the walls. Initial excitement turned to amazement as they realized that the light was not of this world. Two galaxies, each approximately 10 million light-years away, were suspended within the tunnel’s walls, their ethereal beauty mesmerizing.

The first galaxy, dubbed "Galaxy A," is a stunning spiral galaxy, its swirling arms of stars and gas a deep shade of indigo. The second, "Galaxy B," is a majestic elliptical galaxy, its central bulge glowing with an otherworldly intensity. Both galaxies appear to be in a state of suspended animation, their light frozen in time as if captured within the tunnel’s ancient walls.

But the team’s discovery didn’t stop there. As they continued to explore the tunnel, they stumbled upon a comet, its nucleus glowing with a soft, fiery light. The comet, estimated to be approximately 1 kilometer in length, appears to be hovering just above the tunnel’s floor, its tail streaming behind it like a celestial banner.

"This is a once-in-a-lifetime discovery," exclaimed Dr. Huber, her eyes shining with excitement. "The Ötztal Alps’ Tunnel of Wonders has yielded a cosmic marvel, a window into the very fabric of the universe. We are humbled by the sheer scale and beauty of this find."

The team’s research suggests that the galaxies and comet may have been drawn into the tunnel by a rare astronomical event, perhaps a gravitational wave or a cosmic collision. The exact mechanism behind this phenomenon remains a mystery, but scientists are eager to continue studying the tunnel and its celestial inhabitants.

As news of the discovery spreads, tourists and astronomers alike are flocking to the Ötztal Alps to catch a glimpse of this celestial wonder. The tunnel, once a remote and inaccessible location, has become a pilgrimage site for those seeking to experience the awe-inspiring beauty of the universe.

The Ötztal Alps’ Tunnel of Wonders has yielded a treasure trove of scientific secrets, but its greatest gift may be the sense of wonder and awe it inspires in all who behold it. As Dr. Huber so eloquently put it, "In this moment, we are reminded of the infinite mysteries that lie beyond our small, terrestrial existence. The universe is full of wonders, and we are honored to be a part of its grand tapestry."
